Graduated from the Institut des Hautes Études Commerciales et Économiques (IHECE) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with a degree in Accounting Science, Guy Édouard Traversière has worked for many years in accounting and provides high-level professional services to numerous companies in Canada and internationally. He currently serves as Chief Accountant for the KEJJA Group, a renowned hotel company in Quebec and North America.

As a newcomer himself, Guy Édouard Traversière has firsthand experience with the key challenges that newcomers face in settling and integrating into a new country. His personal experiences have motivated him to become actively involved in charitable and community efforts to support newcomers through a smoother and more peaceful transition.
